Absolute rebellion
The last two days have been pure head butting with Jordan. She will not listen to my directions. She will do whatever it takes to defy me. She’s putting up a fight no matter how big or little the issue.
Case in point this morning: We had set out her outfit for the day the night before so I could avoid a fight. But as I put on her tights she decided they were too lumpy feeling. I told her that she had to cover her legs because it’s too cold outside. She got angry. I held ground. Finally she decided she would wear pants with her dress. I found her a pair, handed it to her and she suddenly decided the tights were okay.
Wasted time? 10 minutes.
How many minutes did I arrive late for work? 10 minutes.
I’m going to have to start scheduling our mornings and any departures from the house with added in time for arguments. Ahh four year olds. I recall similar challenges with her brother around this time. Oh wait. She isn’t four yet. But she is obviously in four year old mode!
LOL! I spent all my life fearing the “terrible twos” but the older I get, I realize it’s really more like 4 & 5 that scare me, because they get to realizing that they can tell you no.
