Amputee Coalition of America Conference-Bound
Jordan and I are attending the Amputee Coalition of America’s National Conference this weekend… We were planning to attend Friday through Saturday until we found out Jordan’s favorite prosthetic expert, David Rotter, is speaking on Thursday about upper limb technology. We don’t want a miss to hear what he and other experts have to say. I’m on the hunt for other parents attending the event since I know there aren’t many kid-focused events planned this year. I plan to give Jordan my iPad, access to a mobile hot spot and headphones to watch Netflix and have fun while I learn. We’ll do the best we can to have the chance to meet more people and share information about Born Just Right.
If you know anyone attending with kids, please have them email me at jen [at] bornjustright [dot] com so we can meet up!Â
Saturday! Saturday! Ash gets home from her dads later in the day, and I just messaged you on FB…but you tell me when and I’ll find a way to make it happen!! 🙂 I do hope there are more kids there too. She would be over the top excited!! 🙂
So far it’s looking like Saturday evening is our best bet. I have at least one other mom and her son who has a helper leg. Hopefully I can recruit more families. Trisha, I’ll need your help picking a good spot to hang out for those of us who are at the Westin. There’s the Crayola restaurant… but I’m sure there are other options. Just let me know!
I hope we can get quite a gathering of kids/parents. I’m getting so excited. I’ve checked out a few options. However, KC is not really a “family friendly” place after the sun goes down, which is sad because it’s really a beautiful city. Anyway, most of the options I have found close between 4:30 and 5:00 pm. Do you know what time might work for everyone?
I’m trying to work with the Amputee Coalition to figure out a good time. I’ll try to have details ready by the end of Friday!
Just keep me posted! 🙂
