Can you feel the holiday spirit?
We finally had a weekend to really kick the holidays in to gear…
First, we started the day off with a breakfast gathering where we got to meet up with Santa. One of the local high schools put this even together. It was super cool and the kids even got to write up their Santa List, show it to Santa and got a gift!
On Jordan’s list: Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure (it’s a DVD movie), jewelry and pretty dresses.
So what does she get from Santa? A princess crown and clip-on earrings. She was in HEAVEN.
Up next on her schedule: dance class. It wasn’t pretty. She used up all of her “good” with Santa. So we ended up leaving dance class early. Before we left, she got her costume for her holiday dance recital. She gets to be an “angel.”
She loved the outfit. I’m looking forward to a less distracted kid when she performs. (My fingers are crossed)
After a much needed nap, we got to decorate the house for the holidays… And it was just plain sweet. She and her brother did a great job hanging the ornaments (they didn’t think much about an even distribution). Oh, did I mention she felt the need to decorate the tree in a princess dress and hand-decorated tiara? Yes she did.
Sounds like she got the perfect gift from Santa!! (I wish Santa around here would have gifts. The holiday party we went to that had a Santa didn’t even give out Candy Canes… )
That dance outfit is adorable. I really hope she’s better behaved at the recital.
I’m hoping the same thing!
