Get to know the So What Campaign
There’s a really great high school project underway that needs your help so it can get funding and continue to grow. It’s called the So What Campaign. I encouraged the organizers to write a little more to explain what they’re trying to do and how you can help:
I am Karlee and I was born missing part of my right arm. I, with two of my best friends, have started a public awareness project for our DECA business club at our high school. DECA is an international club that competes with schools in other countries. Our project that we selected brings attention to those living with amputations; letting the public know amputees are thriving citizens, not to be pitied or ignored, but to be treated with equal representation in all aspects of society, especially in the media. Our campaign is “I am missing a leg/arm… So What… We are more than what we are missing.” Please visit our web site at sowhatcampaign.org. We will have a commercial on you tube next week, please review. Since this is a competition and we want to make others living with a limb difference and America proud, please ‘like’ us on Facebook and/or follow us on Twitter. We would be so ever grateful.
