Highs and lows of being four
Jordan is a range of emotions these days. She can go from crying about something super silly to running around and giggling at the top of her lungs in a flash. It’s mind blowing at times. The worst is when I wake her in the morning. She wants to go to school with me dropping her off, but she doesn’t want to get dressed or get out from under the covers in the morning without a dramatic fight. But minutes later she’s happy and bounding down the stairs for breakfast. It’s exhausting for mommy.
Jordan was excited yesterday when I showed her a new horse-themed outfit I got her to celebrate the end of her equestrian therapy sessions for the season. In the last month or so she’s sprouted from a size where 3T was slightly big to where 4T is kind of too short as well. I have to put her in shorts or leggings when she wears 4’s just so it looks appropriate. So I’m already buying size 5. And for some reason I’m having a hard time going shopping for a child that size. Size 5 moves her out of the baby sections at the stores. I’m buying size XS or S in the girls’ section.
Now that makes me moody.
Anyway – we have some exciting plans in the coming month. She’s meeting up with a group of limb-different kids and their families this upcoming weekend. Jordan’s very excited about that. Next month we’re getting Jordan’s new helper arm in Chicago and about a week later we’re heading to the St. Louis area for Camp No Limits! Very busy and exciting times for us.
Whoo hoo!!! I didn’t know you guys were going to make it to the get together this weekend! I cannot wait to see you! 🙂
I’ll be at the get together, too. It will be nice to meet you.
Oh my gosh!! I’m so excited to see both of you. It’s a last minute change in plans. I’ve been so swamped with work and travel, I decided to change things and make it. Cam and Randy can’t get there… but the girl and I will be able to play.
OK, does that outfit come in big person (adult) sizes? I totally want it.
I know! Isn’t it cute? I’m pretty sure it doesn’t go in big-person sizes.
