I didn't cry this year, I swear

She’s officially a first grader. We took our pre-school pictures, walked to school with our neighborhood and sent Jordan to sit with her classmates outside her new classroom.

Last year, as I watched her sit there, I worried. But this year, I’m confident in Jordan’s ability to thrive at school. I talked to her teacher this morning and she confirmed Jordan’s First Grade Book will be shown in class. I look forward to seeing how the day goes. I know Jordan’s confidence and excitement for the new year had me feeling really great. I’m expecting more reading, writing and an expansion to her recent growing interest in math.

By the way, we continued the tradition of photobooth pictures the day before school. It’s something we started when Jordan’s brother was starting Kindergarten. So Jordan started her tradition with me last year. Here’s our most recent collections:
