Mini-Moment: Confidence at School
A friend of mine told me I needed to blog about a moment I learned about at school from our principal.
Jordan was at the lunch table when he walked up and offered to open her milk container. She looked up at him like he was crazy to ask. Then every other kid at the table said they’d love to have him open their milk. That’s the life of a child who stubbornly wants to do everything on her own.
That makes me a super proud mom.
I know… yes I know. In Kindergarten, the teacher’s assistant commented how independent Trevor was. In the lunch room, she said he was the only child that would open his milk carton on his own. All the rest were “begging” for help. “We can’t do it!” She was proud enough of him to point that out to us. He was also one of the neatest when he ate his lunch. =-)
Thanks for sharing all these stories! My little man is only 6 1/2 months now so we’ve yet to encounter much but it helps me feel optimistic and confident that he’s going to do great things as he gets older.
Wonderful little moments like that are so worth keeping.
