Sharing Born Just Right in the Newspaper
I am pretty excited to share an article about Jordan and our work here on Born Just Right. Not only have I had a chance to help Jordan grow and make connections in the limb difference world, I feel super blessed to be able to help many other parents of limb different kids… and even limb different adults. This community means the world to me. Having a chance to share this special place with the town where I live is pretty awesome. It’s also another opportunity to explain why we have a big fundraiser underway for Camp No Limits.
I welcome you to check out the article and see how the author explained Born Just Right. Thanks to author, Casey Nighbor, for pushing so hard to tell Born Just Right’s story and Mackenzie Bruce for taking photos of Jordan during dance class.
Jen,
Im so glad you have the opportunity to share Jordan’s and your journey with your local community and beyond. You inspire!
Estelle
Thank you, Estelle!
Jen….
I have been a stranger in these parts…. We got busy, busy, busy and I disappeared for a while!! It feels so good to back!! 😉
That. Is. Awesome!! ;-D
Tony Stark/Iron Man has a line from “The Avengers” during a rare, serious and deep moment. As a leaning disabled individual who was born with multiple rare birth defects, it has my life. Quite profoundly!! This line has evolved into “my quote”. I shall share it with you. Ready? “You know, I’ve got a cluster of shrapnel, trying every second to crawl its way into my heart.
This stops it. This little circle of light. It’s part of me now, not just armor. It’s a… terrible privilege.”. Key words? “It’s a… terrible privilege.”. And you, Friend, have woven such an amazingly beautiful tapestry concerning Jordan’s limb difference!! 😉

Oh. I love that. “Terrible privilege.” It makes a lot of sense to me. Thanks, Raelyn. It’s nice to see you here again.
PS. I will be sure to read the article!! I cannot wait!! 😉
Jen….
Commenting on Blogs where typos and mistakes occur can really be humbling to a perfectionist such as myself!! Sheesh!! Did I really leave the word “impacted” out of today’s comment?
What I meant to write.
“As a leaning disabled individual who was born with multiple rare birth defects, it has IMPACTED my life.”. 😉
I am glad “Terrible privilege” makes sense to you!! ;-D
–Raelyn
This was wonderful. Good job on getting the message out to more people!
Thank you!!
