Warm weather and outside fun

The pools opened this weekend… And the kids were excited. I captured this awesome picture of Miss Jordan’s happiness. She and her brother got to go to a pool two days in a row.

Jordan is not a jump-in-and-go kind of pool-goer just yet. She needs to be convinced to go in. Once she’s in, she’s happy. Unfortunately, she’s most happy when she’s splashing me in the face. I’m hoping that changes soon.

Along with swimming, we got to take the kids on a canoe for the first time. We had a chance to buy into a canoe with another family in town. They were able to find a nearby lake where we can paddle around and stare at the cool lake homes. We made one error during our first excursion – I put her on the left hand side of the canoe. Jordan ended up sitting backwards the whole time so she could keep her right hand into the water the whole time. We’ll make sure to put her on the right side next time!
