When mom is down for the count…
…Jordan seems to be just fine. I spent a large chunk of the weekend super sick. Gross sick. The kind of sick you don’t really explain. So that left me without many parenting duties this weekend. Our Labor Day was spent lazily while I labored back to health.
The big bummer? I didn’t get to enjoy the pool with them one more time before it closed for the season.
The kids had a ton of fun there this year. It was the first swimming season when both kids were comfortable and happy without me stressing out about them every second. I wish we hadn’t missed so much near the end of pool season. But as Randy reminded me: we are super busy people who offered the kids so many awesome adventures this summer. I’m not allowed to feel guilty.
The fall school year is in full swing. Jordan’s dance class starts back up this week. That goes along with her soccer class. It seems that she loves both… Which is great. Juggling that with her brother’s soccer and games, flag football and games and his piano… And I’m exhausted just thinking about it. Good thing I got sick during an off weekend.
